Noova Energy Systems expands in the Nordic Market, establishing operations in Finland

(Stavanger, November  13th, 2024) Noova Energy Systems (Noova) is expanding into Finland, introducing its energy technology, electricity solutions, and related services to commercial customers starting in January 2025. This move follows the company’s successful entry into Sweden in 2023, making Finland Noova’s third market in the Nordic region.

Noova continues its growth trajectory, strengthening its foothold through strategic expansion in the Nordic energy market. In 2024 , the company achieved an impressive 40 percent increase in revenue from its technology solutions and signed a landmark technology agreement covering the entire property portfolio of Entra,  one of Norway’s leading real estate companies. Its power portfolio also grew by 15 percent, driven by robust demand in Norway and Sweden, with similar growth anticipated in Finland.

The Finnish energy market shares notable similarities with the Norwegian market, including a comparable energy mix and a total professional energy consumption of nearly 30 TWh. In 2022, Finland committed to one of the world’s most ambitious climate goals: achieving carbon neutrality by 2035.

“Companies committed to operating efficiently, profitably, and sustainably will find our technology platform unparalleled. Achieving the green transition to a zero-emission society demands innovative digital solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption and environmental impact,” says Even Gjesdal, CEO of Noova.

There is growing demand from Nordic businesses operating across national borders.

“Many of our customers prefer corporate-wide agreements rather than separate agreements in each country. Our technology platform works seamlessly across borders, giving Noova a strong competitive edge. Establishing operations in Finland is a natural step in our growth strategy,” says Gjesdal.
